I'm very much aware of the community here and the great history that is Canisius College. It's going to be a challenge and I'm looking forward to it. ... It's going to take rolling up your sleeves, hard work and refusing to lose.

It's refreshing and you sort of have to respect that.

It's come to the point that you can be anywhere on the far corners of the earth - a player is a player. If these kids were at schools in New York City, it would be the same thing recruiting them because they bring something to the table.

I visited with Cory last Friday afternoon and made it clear that we wanted him to be part of an exciting time at Canisius. It's disappointing, but I want student-athletes who believe that Canisius College is the right fit for them.

When players come for an official visit and someone here speaks their language, right away there is a comfort level and that's huge. And I think their families back home feel more comfortable as well.

It didn't hit me until I was laying in bed that night with my family watching television, and it came across the bottom of the screen.

One kid told me, 'We were so used to losing that I just figured we had lost. When you talk about vision, that's what has to change here right now. ... I need to talk to those kids to let them know that the culture is going to change here.
